Create with Air Max
Studio: AKQA (Tokyo, Shanghai)
Client: Nike Japan (2020)
As a cultural icon, Nike Air Max has long influenced the Japanese youth and its creative community.
To celebrate Air Max Day 2020, Nike worked with AKQA to create a special zine with unique AR features and interview articles with Japanese creators and influencers to inspire the local youth community.
Distributed exclusively in Nike shops in Tokyo, the zine not only inspires readers with its content but also helps them unleash their creativity. They can design their own AirMax, which can be displayed and shared in real time via the AR function.
As a Brand Editor, I was in charge of overall content editing, copywriting and interviews with the featured musicians, activists and creators.
With all interviews conducted online and a multinational production team based in Tokyo and Shanghai, it was a challenge to ensure the quality of the content that was relatable to the local audience. Working closely with talented designers and an incredible client team, I genuinely enjoyed crafting this unique zine.
